The Lake County Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the following positions: Dutch Henry Sledding Hill & Huck Finn Ice Rink Attendants Under the guidance and direction of the Recreation Coordinator, attendants will be responsible for the daily opening/closing duties and supervision of the Dutch Henry sledding area and hut and/or Huck Fin ice Rink. Responsibilities include rental and retail sales, cash handling, light cleaning and providing excellent customer service. Applicants must be available Monday - Sunday, from mid-December 2019 through late March 2020, including weekends and holidays. Scheduling is flexible and pay is $11.20 - $16.20/hr DOE. Huck Finn Ice Rink Maintenance Staff Under the guidance and supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the maintenance worker will be responsible for ice making and upkeep. This position will work in conjunction with the Lake County Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include flooding, sweeping with a Broce Broom, and ice making with a Zamboni. This is a seasonal position running from December 2019 - February 2020. The specific start date is weather-dependent. This position will be scheduled for regular hours of work, however candidates must be flexible as all ice rink related duties are weather-dependent. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be able to work in cold temperatures and on ice. Hourly wage is $18 - $25/hr DOE. Adult Yoga Instructor Under the guidance and direction of the Adult Coordinator, the adult yoga instructor will be responsible for the instruction of participants ages 16 and up. This includes the creation and implementation of lessons for each session, supervision of up to 20 participants at a time, demonstration of skills and communication with participants.
