CMC’s International Film Series is returning.

Enjoy seven culturally diverse films shown on Fridays, 6-9:30 p.m., starting Oct. 5. The first showing will be the 2004 South African film, “The Motorcycle Diaries.”

Prior to the start of each film, an introduction will be provided to help understand the film’s thematic content and the filmmaker’s techniques such as the narrative structure and cinematography. Topics of interest may include the film’s treatment of gender, race and ethnicity. Post-film discussions will examine the social, cultural, and historic relevance of the film.

The following two films (after “The Motorcycle Diaries”) will be the 2011 Spanish film “The Skin I Live In” on Oct. 12 and the 2011 French film “Le Havre” on Oct. 19.

Enjoy one or all seven films for $10. Register at CMC in advance or on the night of the movie. For information, call 486-4292.
