McCoy baby

John, Juanita and Emma McCoy announce the birth of their daughter and little sister, Ruby Lucille McCoy. Ruby was born at 5:43 a.m. on July 22 at Vail Valley Medical Center. She weighed 9 lbs., 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are: Beth Tafoya Muller, of Waterbury, Conn.; Max Tafoya, of Leadville; and Thomas and LaWanda McCoy, of Leadville. Great-grandparents are TV and Ruby Lucille Weatherly, of Elk City, Okla., and Ted and Daisy McCoy, of Durango.

Hanson family welcomes daughter

Robin and Dan Hanson and sons welcome a daughter to their family. Nevaeh Rose Hanson, 2, was formally adopted on Jan. 15 after being fostered by the family for a year and a half. The family photo was taken at the Jefferson County Courthouse the day of the adoption. It includes, from left, Charlotte Hanson, Nash Hanson, Dan Hanson holding Nevaeh, Dillon Hanson (in front of Dan), Robin Hanson and Dakota Hanson.
