Jack Franklin Bogeart, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 6.
He was born in Silver Cliff and raised in Canon City.
Bogeart, like his father, heard the call and joined the Marine Corps. He got to travel the world and see many places.
After the Marines, Bogeart moved to Buena Vista for a short time before moving to Leadville.
He was employed at Climax for more than 20 years. Bogeart was very active and loved the outdoors. One thing he enjoyed was the rich history of Colorado, which he found in Leadville and Canon City. Later in life Bogeart resided in Pueblo.
He is survived by his sons Larry (Mabel) Bogeart and Jerry (Kay) Bogeart; sister Pearl McDowell; and grandchildren Mark (Stephanie) Bogeart, Robert (Queenie) Basham, Crystal Bogeart, Michael McEwen, Natasha McEwen, Jacob Bogeart and Samantha Bogeart; great-grandchildren Ethyn Bogeart, Ryllieh Bogeart, Zaine Basham and Haleigh Basham; and friends Crystal and Phillip Langgear. His family said Bogeart will be very much missed.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Bogeart, mother Mamie Bogeart, brothers James Bogeart and Ben Bogeart and grandson Jack R. Bogeart.
