New districts, faces

Posted: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 12:47 pm

If you haven’t been tuned in to the redistricting over the past year, the ballot might look a little strange this November.

Lake County has a new congressional district as well as new districts for state senator and state representative. In the case of state representative, one of the more interesting races this year, our current representative, Millie Hamner, changed districts right along with us from 56 to 61. But we lost Eagle County along the way and added Pitkin and portions of Delta and Gunnison counties. Guess we should be grateful that Lake County remained intact, although how could it be divided?
