I write on behalf of the students, faculty and staff of the Leadville and Chaffee County campuses of Colorado Mountain College to thank Pat Chlouber for her service on the CMC Board of Trustees for the past eight years.
Pat has represented Lake County on the board of trustees at a time of great change in higher education and has supported the college’s staying on top of innovation and academic excellence. Pat has done all this with warmth, kindness and a stellar sense of humor, while also holding us all to her high standard of performance.
Pat has a unique understanding of the value proposition in the CMC model of a sisterhood of communities that support and leverage each other’s strengths to provide higher education across the communities of the mountain region. Thanks to this understanding she has been a great friend to all of the CMC campuses. Pat has consistently made decisions that reflect her passion for providing educational opportunities to all constituents across the community. Thousands of students are pursuing successful and fulfilling lives and careers because of Pat’s work.
By the time this letter is published, the college district will have elected a new trustee to represent Lake County and I know that person will approach their role with the same passion for education and for the college that Pat has exemplified.
