The Lake County High School girls soccer team tallied a loss, a win and a tie last week.

The Panthers traveled to DSST-Stapleton last Wednesday where they were defeated 8-1.

“On Thursday and Friday, we focused on what it means to be a team players and how this helps us in games,” Coach Marina Cerrone told the Herald.

The Panthers’ hard work paid off. On Saturday, LCHS defeated Arrupe Jesuit High School 6-0.

Kaytlin Sprague scored two goals, Michaela Main tallied two goals and one assist, Abby Holm added one goal and one assist and Joanna Flores scored another goal.

“They played with great intensity and heart,” Cerrone said of the game.

On Monday, the Panthers tied Clear Creek High School 1-1 at home. Abby Holm scored LCHS’ goal off an assist from Joanna Flores.

LCHS played Jefferson High School on Wednesday. On Friday, the Panthers will travel to Granby for a match-up against Middle Park High School.
