The Lake County High School women’s varsity basketball team celebrated a stellar senior night and final regular home game last Thursday, Feb. 16.
The Panthers defeated the Fort Lupton Bluedevils 54-34 and played strong throughout the match.
The girls started the first half off strong with quarter scores of 13-5 and 11-2 respectively, eventually securing the win with 13-15 in the third quarter and 17-12 in the fourth.
Next up was the first round of regionals on Tuesday, Feb. 21, where the Panthers hosted the Bruce Randolph Grizzlies of Denver. Scores were not available before the Herald’s print deadline.
