The Lake County High School women’s varsity basketball team lost two tough games in the Denver area during the last week, putting their overall season record at 2-8. 

On Saturday, Jan. 21, the Panthers lost a non-league game against the Arrupe Jesuit High School Generals 21-68. The team secured a 10-17 score in the first quarter with 4-15 in the second, 2-28 in the third and 5-8 in the fourth. 

The Panthers faced another tough loss of 24-63 against the Jefferson High School Saints in Edgewater on Monday, Jan. 23. 

Head coach Jeni Windorski said the team was short quite a few players each of these games. 

This week, the team will compete in two home games against the Englewood High School Pirates on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 5:30 p.m. and the Pinnacle Charter School Timberwolves of Federal Heights on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 12:30 p.m.
