Andrew James Booth

Andrew James Booth, 14, of Leadville passed away on June 14 in Aurora. He was born April 13, 2006 in Frisco to James and Sandy (Beck) Booth.

Andrew’s family said he was looking forward to his freshman year in high school this fall. He was going to play the cello in band and take shop class, where he could get the skills to become a blacksmith that specialized in blade making. Andrew belonged to the Cub Scouts and the school band where he played the trumpet and planned to learn the cello.

Andrew had many interests and hobbies, including Playstation games. Some of his favorite games were Fortnite, Minecraft and Dungeons and Dragons. He had learned to play golf and to skateboard and he loved playing with his dogs, Lucy and Mistletoe. Andrew enjoyed riding his bicycle, snowmobile and his new dirt bike. He loved fishing, shooting and hunting.

Andrew is survived by his parents; his brother Ronald Booth; his grandparents Neil and Lynette Booth, and Harry “Papa” Beck and Judy Farmer; his uncles Chris Beck, Justin Booth, and Jeremy and wife Heidi Booth; his cousins Joshua, Julia and Isiah Booth and numerous extended family. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Barbara “Nana” Beck and his dog Mistletoe.

The family will be present to receive guests on Saturday, August 8, beginning at 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., at the Elk’s Lodge in Leadville.
