Renaye V. Green

Renaye V. Green, 52, of Leadville passed away on Saturday, August 1, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. According to her family, Green managed to always have a smile on her face throughout a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Green worked at the Climax Mine for the last nine years as the executive secretary and she took great pride in her work. She enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking, camping and shooting her bow.

Green always said her children and grandchildren were her greatest accomplishment. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends and always knew how to light up a room. Green’s family said she was very special to many people and will be remembered forever for her big smile and contagious laugh.

Green is survived by her parents Rudolfo and Annabelle Mascarenas; son Jorel (Shelby); daughters Adrienne (Kyle) and Mara; grandchildren Everleigh, Hayleigh and Arya of Leadville; sister Lana Frost; and aunt Janet Martinez of Dixon, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her brother Roman Mascarenas and sister Naomi Mascaranes of Dixon, New Mexico.
