Neil T. Booth

Neil T. Booth, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Sept. 8.  

Booth was born in Berlin, Wisconsin on July 8, 1954, the son of the late Ronald and Arlouine (Rohde) Booth. On Dec. 26, 1974, Booth married his wife of 46 years, Lynette Owens.

Booth graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to attend Indiana Trade School, where he received a degree in explosives engineering. He used his degree to work as an explosives engineer in heavy highway construction in Colorado for many years. Later, Booth became a heavy equipment mechanic, working for Caterpillar.

Booth enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, swimming, woodworking and tinkering. “If he couldn’t fix it, it was no loss,” he would say. Booth had an amazing baritone voice and loved to sing.

Booth’s family said he will be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his children and grandchildren. The family is appreciative of family and friends who have showed support since his passing.

Booth was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson Andrew; and his brothers Gary Booth and Harold Booth.

Booth is survived by his wife Lynette; his sons James (Sandy) Booth, Jeremy (Heidi) Booth and Justin Booth; his grandchildren Ronald, Alexis, Isaiah, Joshua and Julia; and his sister-in-law Diane Booth.

A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 at  Waukau United Methodist Church, 2644 State Hwy. 116, Waukau, Wisconsin with Reverend Mulongo Mpoyo officiating. A memorial gathering will take place in Leadville at a later date.
