The Lake County High School girls basketball team played four games last week, facing off against Bennett High School, Middle Park High School, DSST: Montview High School and Bruce Randolph School in a blend of home and away games.

Last Tuesday, the Panthers began the week with an away game against Bennett that ended in a loss for Lake County.

After Lake County High School (LCHS) fell behind in the first quarter, the Bennett Panthers held a consistent lead for the rest of the game, ending with a final score of 50-23.

The Feb. 11 match against Middle Park saw a similar outcome for the Panthers, who ended 17 points behind Middle Park in their second home game of the season with a final score of 48-31.

On Saturday, the LCHS girls team played again, and again took a loss in an away game against DSST: Montview, who beat the Panthers 32-27.

And on Monday, the Panthers triumphed over Bruce Randolph in Denver, reversing their three-game losing streak. In a decisive victory, the Panthers finished the match with a score of 66-11.

The Panthers will next play on Saturday at 4 p.m. in an away game against Vail Christian High School.
